Our Mission
Sunshine Preschool consistently strives to:
- Build a love of learning through fun, hands-on, developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities.
- Prepare preschoolers to be more than ready for Kindergarten in their social, emotional, physical, language, and cognitive development.
- Support school-age children during summer camp so they don’t lose their achievement gains made during the previous school year.
- Exceed expectations by improving our program every year and continuing to meet all 10 of NAEYC’s 10 Standards for High Quality Preschool Programs.
- Strengthen families by including them in fun family events as well as supporting them in their parenting and educational goals.
- Improve the Kuna community by offering a convenient, affordable, premier option for Kuna children’s first schooling experience.
Our Story
Sunshine Preschool opens as a little home preschool in Kuna, Idaho. With the huge demand for our high-quality preschool classes for children ages 3-5, our classes fill up immediately!
Quickly becoming the most desired preschool in the lower Treasure Valley (with families coming from Boise, Meridian and Nampa) we find the perfect property to grow into: our Schoolhouse!
We created a Private Kindergarten to meet the many needs of our Sunshine families. Our Kindergartners thrived with our small classes and advanced curriculum.
With our commitment to excellence, we grew into one of the most popular preschools in the Treasure Valley. We were honored that 300+ families chose Sunshine as their home during our first 5 years.
After being asked by Kuna School District teachers to create a longer extension of our popular 2.5-hour preschool class, we created our All Day Preschool class. Most of our All Day students are children of KSD teachers!
In the last 10 years, our Sunshine family grew to over 1,000 families and is stronger than ever. Our first preschool students from 2008 just entered high school – Wow!

| Once you know which class you'd prefer, please call us to see if we have a spot for you. Then we will schedule a tour and reserve your child's spot so you don't lose it before we meet. If you are moving to the area, please call us; we will mail you a registration form and reserve your child's spot. |
| During our 25-min. tour, we’ll tell you all about us and make sure we’re a good fit. At the end of the tour, we’ll ask if you’d like to your child to come to Sunshine Preschool. If so, we’ll have you fill out our registration form and collect the registration fee (cash or check please). |
